A fantastically simple Nursery activity plan. There is space for differentiated development matters statements and cross curricular learning opportunities. The beauty of this format is the structure of the plan. .. Because we know that..... (links to your assessment and children's interests) We are going to....... (explain the activity) We will will know learning has taken place when..... (describe what you are looking for in assessments) There is also a space for adding the provocations you will set up around the classroom (As with the Reggio approach) This download includes a copy of the blank planning template and a free completed example with a Jack and the Beanstalk activity!

These are not your bog-standard grid style planning proformas. Appealing to the eye, colourful (and more engaging to read for support staff) these clear plans have space for differentiated learning intentions, child feedback, next steps, whole class, group and booster groups as well as extras such as 'word of the week', AOP enhancement, 'Wow factor' and home learning suggestions. For less than a cup of coffee you can have a weekly overview, literacy and maths weekly overview templates as well as matching key group planning and feedback sheets, designed to be used within the AOP rather than table top. Enjoy!

Sick of dull table format planning? Feel like your wonderful, vibrant learning environment doesn't fit into little boxes on a sheet of A4? Me too. So I created this colourful learning map style overview. In my room, I print one of these for each of the three Nursery key groups and edit with the HA/LA children's names and the areas of learning which that key worker is responsible for. Key workers evaluate the learning in the boxes provided then on Friday mornings we discuss the planning required for the following week. With this download you will receive a completed plan and a blank template. I have also included a learning map which can be given to each group leader in order to record the learning and plan next steps. If this is used, you can use the second version of the weekly plan which covers all groups in one go. Happy planning!
